Patients with metastatic epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR)-mutated non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) are widely treated with osimertinib, the preferred first-line treatment option. However, disease progression inevitably occurs, driven by EGFR-dependent or EGFR-independent mechanisms of resistance.
